Gauguin de Lully (now deceased) was, from 1985 on, one of the worlds most successful elite sport stallions. In 1982, shown by Christine Stuckelberger, he competed in 108 shows in which he had 72 first, 27 second and 3 third place finishes. He was the winner of 61 S categories,17 Grand-Prix and Grand-Prix Specials,12 World Cup Kurs (out of 13 starts), and 2 World Cup Finals in Essen in 1987 and in Hertzogenbosch in 1988. He was Swiss Dressage Champion in 1986, Vice World Champion in 1986 in Toronto, Bronze Medalist at the 1987 European Championships in Goodwood, Team Silver Medalist and Individual Bronze Medalist at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, second at the 1989 World Cup Final in Goteborg, and fifth at the 1990 World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden.
